Pearls are very delicate gems..

After wearing pearls, wipe them with a soft cloth. Store them in the original jewel box or case.

Perspiration, cosmetics, perfume, or alcohol left on unclean pearls could cause them to lose brilliance. Should the pearls be exposed to perspiration or cosmetics, use a moistened towel to wipe them gently, and allow them to air-dry (do not use soap).

As pearls are soft, do not store them in contact with other jewelry or metals. Hard jewelry may scratch the pearls.
